Passenger Clothing would like welcome Surfer Nathan Carter to the family.
Nathan Carter is a surfer from Bude in the Northern most region of Cornwall and where he is blessed to have every type of surfing spot from gentle beach breaks to heavy reefs and slabs.
His dad pushed him into waves when he was very young. As soon as Nathan was old enough to read he would go through his Dad’s huge collection of surf magazines from the late 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Most nights Nathan would fall asleep with an image of Rabbit, Shaun Thompson, MP or even a perfect empty wave open on his chest. We're pretty sure this had something to do with the passion for a particular style of wave riding that Nathan has developed throughout the years. Nathan loves to ride vintage shapes and set up's and find spots that these aren't generally ridden.
Nathan quotes "Having fun is what I aim for every time I go surfing. That might sound kind of obvious… But fun for me can be trekking miles across fields and through woodland to check a quiet, mysto spot, even if I don’t get waves. It could be grabbing an old twin fin and running to the fickle harbour mouth wave just down from my house in the middle of town to score peeling little rights along the sand bar. Or it could be tracking down the largest waves I can find in the middle of Winter. Surfing for me isn’t a distraction or escapism from real life, it is life."
Nathan also has a great passion for photography and filming surf, he is often found behind the lens taking photographs or filming for short surf movies.
