The Escapism is our changing robe with a super soft, cosy and snug sherpa fleece lining. Get changed anywhere in privacy and comfort, dry off, stay warm and keep the elements at bay. Featuring a PFC-Free water resistant coating.

Materials

100% Recycled REPREVE polyester ripstop (50D) with a PFC-free water repellent coating (DWR), and a full recycled sherpa fleece lining.

REPREVE fabric is made from 14 recycled, single-use plastic bottles and finished with a PFC-Free water repellent coating. Recycled polyester reduces our dependence on petroleum, cuts out the water and air pollution produced when creating virgin polyester, alongside preventing unnecessary landfill waste.

    The best

    This robe is lightweight but warm and snuggly, I absolutely love it and wish I had bought it sooner. I'm 5'2" and it reaches my calves. It is a massive improvement on my 4 year old much heavier robe. I'm going to enjoy wearing it for a long time.

    Aww… I had such high hopes…

    Colour: Awesome. A beautiful gently burnt sienna-y orange. Love it. See 1st photo (you may get flask envy)

    Cosiness: Scrumptious. The lining is wonderfully cosy.

    Construction: Love that it has been created using recycled items. But … The zip area is a real ‘chill zone’ in the breeze and the pockets don’t have any warming factor and let the drizzle reach the contents.

    Coating: The water resistant coating does not resist at all. It simply absorbs. The drizzle never ‘beaded’ , it just soaked in creating darker, heavier fabric

    Contaminants: Not only does it absorb the drizzle, but also will absorb little hand prints from little child hands, and tiny crumb remnants from sandwiches… Each of these creates darker burnt sienna patches which don’t go away after a spray with vanish and a gentle wash cycle. See 2nd photo, post wash).

    Containment: As a dry robe to change in, I utterly chose the wrong size. I am a UK size 10/12, height 5ft 4 inches, and I chose size S as seemed to be recommended? But I could not bend over enough to reach inside and pull things up ! … I just fell over. Had to get changed with robe undone… nope.

    Conclusion: Adorable class, colour, cosiness… and if you choose the right size and are wearing it without connecting with rain, food items , children or wind, you will adore it. See 3rd photo.

    I'm sorry to hear this didn't live up to your expectations - the fabric is prone to grease stains, which might explain why it has absorbed little hand prints and sandwich remnants.

    In terms of the sizing, we know this depends on the individual person and the usage (they are designed slightly bigger so there's plenty of room to get changed in). But we're of course always happy to provide any specific measurements if that helps make the right choice.
