Pow Recycled 2.0 Insulated Jacket - Wine

I volunteer for the local dofe open centre and needed something like this for a long weekend in the South Downs and it did not disappoint. I feel the cold and this was great. The fact is folds down into the pocket is great. I do understand why some reviews mention the material getting caught in the zip but it's not as though I'm zipping and unzipping once it's on/off so really not a problem. I went up a size do I could layer up. Definitely recommend and love the fact they are a pretty local company to me too. #supportlocal :-)

I loved this jacket the minute it arrived. Warm without being bulky, works with layers both under and over, and packs down small enough for when it's not needed. Also, washes well and dries in no time. But, having worn it fairly regularly for a few months, I've found the insulating filling around the neck and shoulders has shifted and so there is basically just two layers of the fabric between me and the air in those places. As well as letting in the cold, I'm reluctant to wear the jacket with anything other than a light backpack in case the filling has been affected by the straps- being an outdoor jacket from a company that advocates camping and hiking, this doesn't seem very practical. The jacket also isn't especially water resistant, so even fairly light but constant drizzle soaks through. I was really hoping this jacket would last me for a few winters, but given that the shoulders and neck aren't so insulated now, I'm not sure it will.
